International Work
Lane Brody - "Thanks For What You Did"
International collaboration with American country artist Lane Brody, bringing Australian production quality to a US country music project. Lane Brody is best known for her 1984 duet "The Yellow Rose" with Johnny Lee, which reached number one on the Billboard country chart. Working with an artist of her calibre required careful coordination across time zones and production standards, ensuring the finished video met both American broadcast specifications and our own quality benchmarks.
Director: Ross Wood
Our International Reach
While based in Sydney, Australia, 171 Entertainment has worked with artists and clients from around the world. Country music has always been a global genre — Australian, American, and Canadian artists share stages at festivals like Tamworth, Nashville's CMA Fest, and the Gympie Music Muster. Our production work reflects those cross-border connections. The CMT International recognition we've received confirms that our storytelling translates across cultures and markets.
International projects bring specific challenges that domestic work does not: differing broadcast standards (PAL vs NTSC), remote pre-production planning, and the logistics of shipping equipment or coordinating local crews in unfamiliar locations. We've developed reliable processes for handling each of these, built on years of working with artists like Adam Brand whose music reaches audiences well beyond Australia.
International Capabilities
- Remote collaboration and direction across time zones
- International format delivery (PAL, NTSC, digital)
- Cross-border production coordination and crew sourcing
- Understanding of US, UK, and Asia-Pacific country music markets
- Compliance with international broadcast and streaming standards
Awards & Recognition
Our international work has been recognised by CMT International, including awards for Best Australian Video and Director of the Year. These accolades placed 171 Entertainment alongside production houses from Nashville and London, confirming that quality work can come from anywhere — not just the traditional music industry centres. Director Ross Wood's approach to visual storytelling has consistently earned praise from international judges who value authenticity and craft over big-budget spectacle.
