Corporate Work

Corporate video production for major Australian businesses — applying the same documentary craft and cinematic quality that defines our entertainment work to corporate storytelling.

Westfield Sydney Construction Documentaries

The Westfield Sydney construction project was one of the most significant retail development undertakings in Australia's recent history — a multi-year, multi-hundred-million-dollar transformation of one of Sydney's most prominent commercial sites. 171 Entertainment was engaged to document this project across its full construction lifecycle.

The challenge with any major construction documentary is telling a story that is compelling beyond the technical achievement. Buildings going up are inherently interesting to engineers and construction professionals. Making them compelling to a broader audience requires finding the human stories embedded in the project: the workers, the planning challenges, the community impact, the design ambitions and how they translated (or sometimes didn't translate) into the built reality.

Our approach to the Westfield Sydney series was documentary in the truest sense — we spent extended time on site across the full construction period, building access and trust with the project teams, the construction crews, and the management. The result was a series of productions that worked as a corporate record, a stakeholder communication tool, and — in their more extended form — as genuinely watchable documentary content.

The 171 Entertainment Approach to Corporate Video

171 Entertainment's entry into corporate video production was a natural extension of our documentary work. The skills required to make a compelling artist documentary — knowing where to point the camera, understanding how to draw out genuine performance from non-actors, managing complex logistics across long production periods — transfer directly to corporate work.

What distinguishes our corporate work is a commitment to genuine documentary craft over the formulaic approach of much corporate video production. Standard corporate videos are essentially advertisements for the company. The productions we believe actually change perception and build trust are the ones that show reality rather than performing a version of it.

This philosophy applies equally to a company profile video and a major construction documentary. We ask the same question in both cases: what is the true story here, and how do we capture it in a way that moves the audience? The answer varies by project, but the discipline of asking it is consistent.

Corporate Video Services

Company and Brand Profiles

Authentic brand story productions that show prospective clients, partners, and employees who you actually are — not a produced performance of your company values. Effective brand videos require genuine access and the willingness to show real work.

Construction and Infrastructure Documentary

Long-form documentary coverage of major construction and development projects. We capture the full lifecycle — from groundbreaking through to completion — creating productions that serve as both operational record and public narrative.

Training and Onboarding Video

Professionally produced training content that communicates procedures and cultural expectations clearly and engagingly. Effective training video reduces the need for in-person training sessions and creates consistent outcomes at scale.

Event and Conference Coverage

Multi-camera coverage of corporate events, keynote addresses, product launches, and conference sessions. Professional event coverage extends the life of your event investment through content that can be used long after the day itself.

Customer Testimonial and Case Study Video

Authentic client testimonials and project case studies that demonstrate real-world results. The most persuasive content in any corporate video program — and the one most often produced poorly. We produce testimonial content that is credible because it's real.

Recruitment and Employer Brand Video

Content that shows prospective employees what it's genuinely like to work at your company. In a competitive talent market, authentic employer brand video significantly improves both the quality and fit of candidates who apply.

From Entertainment to Corporate: What We Bring

Production teams that come exclusively from a corporate video background often produce work that is technically competent but emotionally flat. The discipline of entertainment production — where the audience has no obligation to watch, and will stop if the content doesn't earn their attention — creates a different kind of practitioner.

When we apply that discipline to corporate video, the difference in the final product is significant. Content that is compelling, not just informative. Storytelling that is emotionally honest, not just factually accurate. Visual craft that treats the audience's attention as something to be earned, not assumed. This is the standard we bring to every corporate production, regardless of scale.
